Adventure











the night so dark and the wind so strong

with captain hermite and the crew all alone

the churning waves with the ship as centre

and the stormy clouds circling the crow's nest







no where to steer the future so clear

he took a sip of beer to shoo way the fear

the lightning so yellow and with the thunder's bellow

he saw an albatross coming far from the sky





the albatross so large its wings so shiny

his golden eyes sparkling with its velocity

its flapping sound clearing off the clouds

it perched on  main mast of the ship





sun rays coming with the darkness going away

all cheers and prayers going to jesus's place

albatross made some motions and some voices

and then flew away on its way





the captain tried to stop but it disappeared

he waited for a while but then he steered

with ship facing the sinking sun, everyone rejoiced

"captain captain captain" one of them voiced





he suddenly woke up, saw first officer standing

with first officer greeting him a "good morning"

this was his dream he still was a captain

he said- "what an adventure!.. how did it happen ?"
