You smoke to die
And you drink to forget
What makes you want to die
And then you smoke weed
But that's just to get high

And you only get high
To wash away the pain
But pain is all you feel
In the finger numbing rain

And the rain makes you clean
But you still feel dirty
And that makes you sad
And leaves you hurting

So you smoke to die
And drink to forget
What makes you want to die
