Is an abandoned child unnecessary in this world?
*Slap*
  the sound rings in my ears;
Watching their fight -
  helpless, weak, scared.

Sent away, *Shut*,
  the door closed on violence.
My existence -
  now a burden.
But I did not ask to be born.

I am cursed.
Misery touches everyone around me -
  she is gracious, fair.
*Snap* I wonder,
do I have the right to happiness?

In the garden full of trees,
  I watch the weed;
Surviving, struggling,
  reaching for the light that seeps through.
*Chop* the gardener removed,
  the harmful, the unneeded, the unnecessary.

And I am here,
  in the dark.
Groping around,
  for some light.
Tired, and I fall.
A hand reaches out,
  *Thud* I see the face of the gardener.
