3/26/15 Daily challenge entry
"Welcome back, love!" His long fingers brushed the hair off her face.
"What the... Where am I?" She tried to back away from his touch, but his grip on her chin kept her in place.
"Why, you're in Faeland. My home!" Shock. Her mind had gone blank. Mortals could not enter Faeland easily, and leaving it was impossible.
"What do you want from me, Aodh?" Her voice shook slightly.
"You could call it poetic justice, love. A life for a life. My brother was murdered by your lot, and I want revenge." The daoine sith's voice was sharp and his eyes cold. He released her and stood.
"You can't prove a thing. We did nothing to your brother!" He can't just decide to keep her! She risked a glance around. His home seemed cozy. Being in the ruling family must have its advantages. The stone walls were draped in elegant tapestries depicting dusk lighted sceneries. One wall was entirely of glass and a golden light bathed the sea. At least she thought it was the sea. The chair was carved out of wood, covered with green, soft leaves and was comfortable. Her treacherous body relaxed after the last week's ordeal. She wished for a bath and a warm bed. She needed to run away.
"Who said I need to prove anything?" His fair eyebrow rose in pure arrogance. Bloody hell!
She moved her right foot. Good! Her knife was still there. If she could reach it without alerting him, she could have a chance.
"Well, you can't just keep me here!"
"I can, and I will, love! Since my brother is gone, I am the king."
Good God! She had to do something. He turned and she seized the chance to grab her knife. She would escape no matter what!
