Clowns take over after the polar ice caps melt. Clowns had been exiled.
Excerpt from Bible of World Government: Humanity can no longer advance with humor in the world. Progess is measured in infrastructures created and money earned. Humor leads to laughter and laughter leads to laziness. There is no time for laziness in a 29 hour work day. ( Ch. 3 Verse 7)
They came after the great melting. No one saw it coming. One minute, the fire of industry engulfed the world. The next minute, Planet Earth was at their mercy. They emerged stronger than a religion and more numerous than the largest army.
The greatest of Earth's weapons were destroyed in the planetary industrial fire. We had but sticks and rocks to fight. Millions of us had second and third degree burns. When we walked, our soles stuck to the ground. We walked among our dead like we were in a barbeque.
The end of life as we know came quickly. The human race raised the white flag within moments of their invasion. They say that they are human like we are. None of them are burnt like we are; they cannot be of the Earth. One of them said that they hid in the North and South Poles centuries before. They rode the icebergs as the planetary fires raised the temperature of the world. They arrived on fire and ice to enslave us.
In our moment of weakness, we were no match for their rubber noses, orange hair, red painted smiles, and animal balloons. Yes, the end came with a red smile.
All our history of war and conquest meant nothing. Our experience in annihilation was of no matter. We were conquered by clowns. Oh yes, those horrid creatures that only know one emotion: happiness.
Clowns, they came upon us squirting water from fake flowers. The water was acid to our charred and bloodied bodies. We fell to the ground in agony.
Some of us were blasted with confetti. It was shrapnel to unprotected skin. Their remedy for the pain was for us to smile. They said that happiness was greater than any pain or fear that we had. It was for our own good they said.
One of my companions pointed to his melted lips. A clown reached for his face and ripped his lips apart. I will never forget the scream and the blood flowing from my companion's mouth. The clown told him to smile and the pain would go away. My companion fell to his knees and tried to smile. He even let out a fake laugh. The clown lifted up my fellow traveler and gave him a hug. Charred flesh clung to the clown's costume as he pulled away his arms. My companion tried to hold back the tears because evening crying caused pain. The clown pulled out a yellow balloon from his pocket and inflated it. With a few likes and twist he formed an animal figure and handed it to my companion.
" Here you go love. It's a giraffe", said the clown, " My name is Boing. Take balloon as a symbol of your transformation. Only happiness from here on out."
