This poem written in 2005. Needs a better name.
She was the love of my life and all I could see
So the words that she said broadsided me.
She said she was sorry, It was all a cruel joke
And I was dumbfounded as she laughed while she spoke.
She continued to speak of her torrid affair
So I turned away for it was all I could bare.
She called out my name as she begged me to stay
But all I could do was get further away.
The last thing I heard was "I love you, my friend"
And that's when I knew that our friendship must end.
