This is a short story about a recent dining experience.
I recent just got back from my vacation in Tennessee, I thought about writing this while on vacation, but I since then decided I would spend the rest of my vacation just simply relaxing, rather than write this. Now that my vacation in Tennessee is over I thought I would tell you about my recent dining experience.

My mom, me, and Aunt Jill one day were traveling up in Tennessee just for a little spur of the moment adventure. They had planned to cross the Kentucky border just so they could say they had been there. The original plan however was changed mostly due to the weather not being ideal.

When it was around lunch time we decided to go a different route then stay on the Interstate and took the Route twenty five west instead. The route was much quieter than the interstate and with all the mountains around us we could hardly get a cell phone signal. On our way through the route we managed to find a place we had yet to eat at before. This place was called Mt. Cloud, it was basically a lodge and a restaurant with a view.

We traveled to the place and asked if it was a fancy place, but the response we got to the person attending the gate up was that. It was no fancier than Applebee's. We headed up the road which was up hill the entire time with my mom getting nervous due to the fact that although it was a paved road, it had no guard rails and the fact that she's afraid of heights didn't exactly help either.

When we finally got to the restaurant, my Aunt Jill looked at some of the picks and many of them were wedding pictures. Fortunately they accepted walk-ins, and weren't very busy at this time. We went' and picked our meals, I can't exactly remember what I picked exactly, but it was basically a Sandwich with a Spear pickle and fries. My Aunt Jill got the Club Sandwich, and my mom got was eating.

We ate the food, and although the guy at the entrance gate said it was about as good as Applebee's. Personally I thought the food was of a slight less quality. There cake they served was good, even though the portion of cake they served us for about five dollars, was insanely large. But as My Aunt Jill said this place isn't a place people come for the food, they come for the view. Mt. Cloud even had a room with a table where everyone sitting had a view. After we ate lunch and paid the bill, we went down and back to my Grandparent's house.

In Short it was a dining experience with some food that's not so great, insanely large portions of cake and a view above the clouds, if it wasn't so cloudy and rainy then the view we had would have been much better though. To me it was one of my few more interesting dining experiences.
