Sometimes you want to believe the lies
I wasn't the only one he apologized to tonight.
There were others he had walked away from.
There were others that cried at night at the absence of his presence.
I wasn't the only one he played with tonight.
There were others his words seduced and toyed.
There were others who swooned, carrying their pride like me in their hands.
I knew this.
I knew him.
But still I played along.
Still I pretended I was his only one.
But when you know someone's soul through and through..
Certain flaws, certain behaviors seep through their cracks
And so I play blind
I play deaf
Because it doesn't really matter
I'm irrevocably in love with him
And all his highs, lows and lies that pour off his tongue that leak from his mind..
Open me to a world I want to dance in.A world I want to live in.
So yes,
I'll play in his sun kissed deceit
Until his dark comes crawling along again...
And exposes all the artificial intelligence of this here love.
