A small poem about an even smaller play. I tried to write between the lines with this one.
I enjoyed a performance of an actress
who dared to act alone...

Director and actress enter stage left,
(your right)

The director led her on stage,
and addressed the audience.

"The name of this play is ~Life~,
our actress was a writer yesterday,
and her script,
a mere poem,
titled, ~Idioms for Idiots~...
Remind me to take my words back,
if you realize how I got that backwards..."

Director exits stage left...
(your right)

She places a packet of papers on the ground,
taking a step forward, she stands on them...
Looks down and yells...

"LIFE, IS A ONE ACT PLAY!!"

Actress exits stage right...
(who's left?)

Cause to many,
it'll seem like she misunderstood her script.
But I think the Miss understood her script,
cause as she stood over it,
she performed a play on words...

My hat's off to those of you who caught all of that,
but to those who let that hat trick go over your head...
recap...
