I woke up to the dank and dreary darkness. The pit of despair.
Light. Where is the light?

Dank and dark. It reeks of despair. The once welcoming smell of the earth suffocates her.

How?

She wasn't certain.

There was a voice last night. Muffled. Unclear. As if she was drowning in the sea without a rescue float.

Then... Everything went dark.

When she woke up, it was in a dreary, cold and small space. Enough to fit her whole body but nothing else. Claustrophobia creeps in, squeezing her lungs and forcing an unearthly shriek from her. That no one would hear, she thinks.

When she travelled down the tunnel the night before. Or was it last night, she will never know... That strange voice had come upon her again and smothered her with a sweet cloth (chloroform, she thinks) and now... All she wants to do is find the light.
