Loneliness

With the cool curves of nooks
and sand dunes, shells and whorls
of green ocean, trees hang over, I
don't think I have ever seen
anything so beautiful and divine
and I think of what we could
have been here. Barbecues and
kids swimming. Instead the
fathomless blue, the clear water
stretches to the horizon, the future
will come to quick for one faced
with a loss like you.
