silence between lovers
Words struggle

Can you hear that silence?
Between two mountain peaks?
Can you hear it
Between two lost souls?
Interrupted by a past
That struggles to stay
Can silence be the voice?
When words refuse to serve?
Listen to my silent melody
As I discover yours
And remind me
That silence was your choice
That your last words are
My everlasting scars
