To love another.
The soft golden sunshine glistening down,
The river murmuring its gentle song,
The birds hum in time as I twirl you ‘round,
As the rabbits attempt to dance along.
There is an undeniable peace here,
Like anything can happen between us.
You look up, golden eyes shine, “Hold me dear,”
“Let us watch as the sun bows down to dusk.”
As the world is painted in splendid hues,
The murky shadows creep up in the trees.
Be wary of nature’s soft, warning cues,
The darkness of time will come with the breeze.
But the power of two made one will be
As strong as the roots of an ancient tree.
