An attempt to understand what my personal idea of love is. This was the result.
I wish you well, dear friend.
An old acquaintance waits at the bend,
It is time I went to meet desperate Fate,
He has thrown big ambitions as bait,
When will I see you next? I wonder,
My thoughts have grown restless and lie asunder,
Walking away on this moonlit night,
To my soul, you look a sight,
I wish you the best of this world;
Bright moons and the clouds curled,
The sun and horizon a vision,
As you march on closer to your life's mission,
I wish you meet those good in character,
Who shade you from a life of gloom,
And let shine years of rapture,
As I down here, wish you away from all doom.

I wish you well, dear friend.
An old acquaintance waits at the bend,
But I have a sore heart to tend.
I wish the breeze would tug me back,
Pull at my skirts and show you what you lack,
Together we are complete,
Or else two souls deplete.
Can't you see the stars, my friend?
They twinkle with the secret of us,
Warm shivers into my soul they send,
Knawing at your hearts barricade, as it does.
Look up at them and then me,
I'll wait till all guards are torn down;
I'll dance on this road, you'll see,
Twirling with the wind and the trees,
Much like a ghost in town
I'll dance with no frown or crease.

Make haste, my dear friend,
An old acquaintance waits at the bend,
But I could stall till the end.
Your hearts colder than I thought,
I am left shivering in its draught.
Bring the end with your warmed heart,
I'll stall and quench the ambitions of my mind,
Bring the end with your warmed heart,
I'll pile my wishes on a cart for you to unbind,
Sighing under the stars,
I'll ask them to shine you on the sky,
Severed behind my window bars,
I'll lock eyes with you every night that passes by,
And wake with your essence split by the rays.
As the light swims between the currents of water,
I'll swim through this sea current of people and life,
Rise above it all and meet you in the sky,
Just as the light meets the sun.
The sun has now left for the nights arrival,
I am waiting at the horizon for yours, dear friend.

I wish it possible, dear friend,
Your return down the roads bend.
The leaves have gathered me in their windy embrace,
Swaying with me down the road we trace,
The steps of separation your feet made.
Make haste, dear friend.
An old acquaintance waits at the bend.
Throwing a final proposal as bait.
