A group of 6 boys happiness ends and is replaced with immense pain.
Five boys were taken from the world
And only one spared

One engulfed in flames
One submerged in water
One with a bullet through his head
One who jumped to escape the pain
And another who lays next to an empty pill bottle

But for the one spared
The one who you may think is lucky
He is running
Running from the pain and guilt
Running from the memories

Dirt covering his hands
And woe clouding his mind
He calls out the names of the five he lost
Knowing he will never receive a response

Into the home where the pain began
Glass covers the floor
From a mirror, that has a bullet hole through the middle
The bathroom floor is still covered in water

What is left of the bedroom is burnt to a crisp
On the roof, muddy footprints lead to the edge
And come to a stop on the ledge
In the midst of the trash covering the ground
Lies a large empty pill bottle

The survivor takes a seat on the ledge
Looking at the world around him
He takes out a crumbled photo
And stares at it as a tear streaked his cheek
The photo shows all six of the boys together
In their time of happiness

He stuffs the photo back into his pocket
And stands up with a sigh
The boy left the house
As he steps into the street
He sees a streak of light
And hears a car horn blare

The survivor lays on the cold ground
His white shirt now crimson red
He smiles for the last time
Knowing he will join his friends soon enough
