[Introduction]
I sat on the porch twisting my gold necklace. I was waiting on my Uncle Olivier to get home, my cousins Meagan and Mason were in the house arguing over the remote. I however could care less if we watched Home Alone or The Nutty Professor; I was just tired of them always welling at each other. I was adopted by my Aunt Judy and my Uncle Oliver when I was five, my parents were killed in a car crash while I was at school. My aunt took me in with open arms and my cousins three at the time were glad to have me come and stay too, though my uncle did not like me I had no clue why; my aunt said it would take time for him to adjust losing his brother and raising his daughter, yet that had been ten years ago and he still looks at me like I am nothing.
My aunt was always nice to me my cousins were kind I shared a room with Meagan who is two years younger than me. Mason had his own room since he was the only boy, he was quiet he usually just sat around watching t.v. while Meagan was loud and constantly sang a song from one of the boy bands she was into; it was funny at times to think they were twins yet I suppose you can help that.
I opened my necklace it was a picture of my mom and dad. My mom had long brown hair and spring green eyes she had dimples when she smiled in the picture she was wearing a big purple hoodie and had on hoop earrings; my dad had short light brown hair and light blue eyes he was wearing a mid sleeved green shirt with a black pea coat on his smile was more firm than my mothers light smile. My uncle gave this to me when I was ten telling me to keep it so I will not come asking who I looked liked anymore; I sighed thinking about them and wondering what life we would have now.
My uncle drove up and broke my concentration, I looked up slowly as he got out of his truck he was a tall man stood six foot two had on a red plaid shirt, levi jeans, and dirty cowboy boots he had a cigarette in his mouth as he walked up "What are you doing?" I looked at him "Sitting here." he blew a big puff of smoke "No shit." I looked at him "Meagan and Mason were fighting so I stepped outside cause I have a headache." My uncle sighed "Ya I bet so those two fight like cats and dogs." I smiled a little as he opened the door " Come on Eleanor lets see if we can break those two up so I can get some sleep." I followed him in thanking for once that my uncle was such an asshole.
