Harsh weather ascends upon the land
The thunder booms

The lightning zooms

The siren gives its dreadful cry

The funnel descends from the sky

It hits the ground with a powerful fist

Around and round its winds twist

Out of control like an angry bull

Nothing ever more powerful

Not a devil of dust

But an ominous gust

The land, it starts to brutally tear

The hills, down they start to wear

Path of destruction, it leaves behind

Anything still standing is hard to find

All the animals run and hide

As it ravages the country side

Faster and faster it begins to spin

Casting upon the land a dreadful sin

Driven to permanently leave its mark

As it swirls around through the dark

Left behind, a hideous scar

Stretches long from near to far

People abandon their homes as it grows near

They shake and quiver, full of fear

It rips up the beans, the spinach, the corn

The world belongs to this demon to scorn

No signs of when its rampage will end

The land will need a lot to mend

Bringing upon a windy nightmare

Leaving structures beyond repair

Ripping up houses, tossing cars

Their owners watch in horror from afar

In distress and filled with sorrow

Will they ever see tomorrow?

Then finally, ascends, this beast of war

Gone from the land, to do damage no more
