This is simply a quick write up about something I was thinking about as I was thinking

Young Man

A young man aspires to many things. Wealth, power, success, knowledge, but a young man begins from a blank template. What if, that young man were to stop at that blank template? Would he never aspire to anything? Broken down to a state of weariness where a blank template becomes the state of consistency the young man aspires to nothing. He goes through life clinging to the basics only to survive and pass the time. Jobs may pass as a cover to exemplify the look of a progression of an aspiration but that young man has no emotions towards great things.

That young man early in life was broken into pieces, told by many inadvertently that he was not doing things right, that he was going about his life in a way that was going to be his downfall and so, he has become the definition of something that cannot progress or decline. If that young man were to progress, his doubts and insecurities about this sudden frontier that made no sense would suddenly thrust him into a state of paranoia, fear and anger.

When the young man fails, he has gone beyond the point of simply feeling bad, he feels nothing. It is not that he expected it, it is that he does not care about success or failure, the equilibrium has been set and it is unnatural to expect one or the other. The young man will focus on certain things in his life to preoccupy himself with no end goal in mind or any idea of whether success or failure will be available.

His life and other's may become expendable to him. Not in the sense that he is willing to kill, but in the mindset that he has a realistic and some would say "harsh" outlook on the life of his and others. The death of another, he would not be afraid to be upfront with them about. He may do things to endanger himself for the thrill of it, even if it may be something that could end up being fatal.

He will find love, but it will not last, and it will fuel the behaviors and isolation that will occur in the young man's future as he gains the ability to last long periods of time without contact with people and even loses interest in women. It is not that he isn't attracted on a biological level, it is just that after that one instance of "love" he has thrown away what he has considered a futile waste of time and what he considers a manipulative construct of women, even though it was clearly just the circumstances of that instance.

He will feel more connected to animals than to people, knowing that there is an undeniable strong and silent bond, one of trust and reciprocated love that lasts as long as one respects another, one that is lost in people. He will weep at the loss of his pet, but not of his grandmother, who could never manipulate him like she did others.

The future is uncertain of this young man but the present is certain, he has seen his past and knows no that there is nothing to mold for his future.
