Shades of us

Our love colored in red.
Caliente
Warm as the sun, like to flaming Habanera Peppers dipped in bronze. You were my King and you took care of home even when the remnants of us turned blue, cold as ice. But that was the sacrifice made for two flaming lovers as dark as a spade.
Our shades became one impenetrable to the sun, we never felt its heat for I was your shade and you were my cool breeze and when the sun seemed to fade you were my blanketa grande` on a winters day.
When I was lost in the dark you were my iridescent flame.
That flickered constantly,
Reminding me, how love is supposed to be.
Sometimes I still feel you near me.
But now your love has turned black never again to turn red.
A decision made I still struggle with in my head.
You were my love but you’re no longer here
But forever I will hold the shades of you, shades of me, shades of we near.
