Trigger warning. This is a poem written about my friend Tyler. He committed suicide.
He holds the gun against his head
crying and wishing that he were dead.
All he wanted was to be loved.
All he needed was a hug,
but no one could give him the things he wished for
So now it was time to walk out the door.
No one cared.
It was only fair
that he got his happy ending too.
What they didn't understand were the things he went though,
but now his thoughts were coming true.
One bullet is all it will take.
One bullet to ease the pain.
One bullet to end it all.
One bullet to make him fall
down down to the ground
where he will lie till morning comes round.
"Please forgive me.
Please don't hate me.
I just can't sleep when these voices
are chasing me.
You won't remember me in about a year.
It's my time to go, my dear."
The cool metal hugs his temple.
To him this choice was very simple.
Finger on the trigger he opens his eyes,
and looks around him one last time.
With a bang his life did end,
but I assure you all it was very quick.
No pain was felt after that trigger clicked.
