An acrostic poem inspired by a picture prompt

Fading out, the day is done.
Leaving with the evening sun.
Another beat, this heart is weary.
Time to go, I see it clearly.
Let me walk this haunted street;
In another realm we'll meet.
Now it's time, I must depart -
End the darkness in my heart.
