Today started out like any other day. I woke up, took a shower, ate breakfast, and took my guard at the door of the manor. Today, however, wasn’t a normal day, and as soon as the day started, it became clear. Throughout the day, there were multiple calls for help in the jungle, and it seemed that the caller was getting closer and closer. Finally, mid afternoon, just as I was preparing to cook dinner for the general, the anonymous man made it to the door. “Freeze!” I yelled, seizing the moment to get a possible promotion. “State what you are doing here!” I scream at him! “Do not worry, I come in peace”, the yank says, obviously worried about the revolver barrel pointed in his face. Not good enough of an answer, I think to myself as I remove the safety on the handgun, and prepare to blow his brains out. Just as I tighten my grip on the trigger, however, the general comes out, woken up from his afternoon nap by our yelling. He exclaims, “Why, you are the famed Rainsford, sorry if this idiot grunt here startled you! Come inside, come inside!” Disappointed, I walk away. I blew it again.
Three days later, whilst I am preparing the dogs for the hunt, the general comes out and exclaims “This Rainsford man dies today. Although he did provide me some fun for a while, I guess even the most brilliant people have to die.” “Oh, we are leaving now, so get prepared”, the general says, walking away with a chuckle. I hurry and tie up the dogs, and follow the general. Not long after leaving, the dogs pick up a scent, Rainsford, and based off of the excitement in the dog’s eyes, we know that he is close by. We quickly sprint in pursuit, not knowing what lay ahead, but knowing surely that someone was about to die…
