What my God teaches me about being thankful
I have enjoyed my time with Buddy today. I look back on the origin intention of thanksgiving. Part of what makes it work is different persons take time to celebrate life and the one who gives it.

I took Buddy for a walk with this in mind. I realized here was someone so excited to see me after I came home. That despite the fact he had been in a cage, had to go per and was hungry. If we could only be that way with each other.

Then I got his leash out and he is so glad to go out. It is cold and he walks for a long distance and then seeks reward. He is thankful willing to do his part and enjoys a cookie at the end as if saying thank you for letting me out into the cold cruel world. Thank God for dogs and their witness about what really matters about thanksgiving.
