ephemeral ruminations
Down memory lane down memory lane,
Sounds and smiles they do remain
Their time has past but still I claim
They are my life
They are my love

Down memory lane I look for you
The bookends hold some stories blue
Tree lined sidewalks shade provide
Stone paved pathways bumpy ride
They are my life
They are my love

Down memory lane I run so far
I grasp the air 'cuz there you are
Slipped on by, softly away
I hug you still
These are my life
These are my love

Down memory lane I hold for thee and thou, Lo and verily
A space for quiet,
A clock whose hands don't move
You are my life
You are my love

Down memory lane, it's fleeting nature be
ephemeral riches, sun and moon and sea
my life
my love

Down memory lane
