You can't outrun your fate.
The voice of a guard rang through the grounds like the clear ring of a bell through a still winter night. A chill ran up my spine as I heard the sound of footsteps, lots and lots of footsteps. I knew they were after me, so I ran. At every stride my feet hit the ground with a boom. At every corner I looked back with beads of perspiration rolling down my face. My heart beat like a drum in my chest. in my mind I knew they would catch me and it would all be over.
I looked back again, but this time i stopped. They had reached me. It was a dead end. Justice had sought me out and now she would make me pay for what I had done. I gradually turned around. There in the shadows he stood, my killer, my end. Behind him stood his men ready for blood. Their eyes were cold and dead like all the life had been sucked from their souls. Their hearts seemed not their, their chests seemed vacant for I heard no sound. Their mouths only spoke of death and brutal things.
The leader looked at me with a smirk no man could forget and said, "You can run, but you cannot hide, for death will always follow." His weapon was an iron arrow that was to be launched from a strong wooden bow. He only carried one arrow, for that was all he needed; Death never blunders. He looked into my eyes and I in his. With my arms outstretched I said, "Let it be!" He then released the arrow and it swiftly pierced its target. I collapsed at the impact of the arrow colliding with my chest. I held the arrow where it was. Blood stained my shirt as it seeped from the wound. My vision began to blur and I knew it was time. At last my final breath slipped from my lips and all became black.
