I wrote this awhile ago. I really like it, figured I would see what others thought.
seething winds, calling from above
pulling you down, like a coiling snake
you don't understand, never understood
it all goes so fast, far into the beyond
clouds of sorrow, forming in the winds
gentle breezes, call to you like a friend
hold on, they whisper, too far to hear

you grasp onto the notion, it'll all be clear
sighing, you withdraw, into yourself
allowing you to fall, deeper into the abyss
strong you must be, there is no other way
all you want to do is let go

You remain in constant anguish,
calling to an unknown source,
trying to seek the comfort, you so wish to know
the breeze brings you a small bit of peace,
but not enough to take the pain,
that treatens to crowd your thoughts,
and make you feel an endless torment,
of feelings you would rather forget
