A mothers oath to her premature child.
You've stolen my heart,
Though you can't breathe on your own,
Through the box I see you,
I promise this isn't home,
We'll be there some day soon, you'll see,
But for now my dear you're far too tiny,
Soon you'll be able to be held
Soon you'll be big and strong,
Someday you'll be in my arms,
Where you rightfully belong,
But for now my dear in this hospital, you'll reside,
Don't worry though because I'm always by your side.
