Poetry Descriptions Are Pointless
I know you aren't there, not really.
But I can feel you, right between my shoulders
I feel your hooks embedded in my skin
Your hot breath on my neck.
I can't see you, and you don't exist
But you are real.
Every time you wrap around me
Squeezing my chest so I can't breathe
And whisper horror stories of what could be
Every time you choke me with sand
So I cannot speak what I need.
You are real.
But, oh..I wish you wouldn't be.
