A heart ache from long ago
You & Me

Is someone missing me?

Cause I’ve been missing you

Years have gone by

Tears still well up in my eye

Memories creep up from the past

Time goes by so fast

Being sweet on someone

Hoping they didn’t end up being the lonely one

Long time for the heart to heal

Still having the scar of that ordeal

Hoping yours isn’t as prevalent

It may not exists do to your exit

In the crevasse of my mind the vision of our past still sits

Sometimes bringing me to the end of my wits

Sadden by that the night the truth was so blunt

Wanting to call you a name that rhymes with punt

Too much respect I couldn’t

Giving your virtue to another

With tears in your eyes, crackling in your voice, ring in one hand, and door handle in the other

Surprise on my face, choking in my throat

Wishing I wasn’t in this sinking boat

My future was never to be the same

Still sticking in my heart like an arrow aflame

Wondering and pondering why you couldn’t wait

Sadly your action sealed our fate

Alone and in despair

We had made a good pair

I guess it was never meant to be

You and me
