A brief poem about loneliness and yarn.
The ball of yarn, so innocent, sitting on the dusty floor.
Forever ignored.
Forgotten by all but the cat.
Dreaming of being turned into something, anything.
Thinking of the shawls, scarves,
sweaters and hats.
But only ever seeing shoes.
Slowly unraveling.
Surviving the test of time.
