Skak Darkfang wondered how many bells had past since he had begun his wanderings. The tinker-rat left a trail of blood behind him as he clutched his notebook over his bleeding chest. The shrapnel from caused from the Ratling gun exploding was still deep in his flesh. Skak had lost a lot of blood and in his delirium, he had ventured far from the battle and further into the dwarven domain. He coughed up a bit of blood and wiped it on the sleeve of his dirty cloak.
"What if Skak make-work new design for ratling-gun. New-gun have barrel that changes out." He thought in his delirium trying to figure out a way to make the powerful device less likely to kill off non-targets. "This way New-gun not overheat and kill-injure ratkin".
His vision was blurring and he start to stumble. Holding on to marvelous statues that he couldn't begin to appreciate in his current blood deprived state. Finally, the tinker-rat collapse under a golden statue of a dwarven king. An Anvil under the king's hands, the king looked onward. The statue was massive and intricate in its design. It was made of iron and gold. Jewels and runes were added in places, which added to the statues glory. It must have been startling to see this marvelous statue in relation to the dirty small skaven, who had passed out beside it.
After the dwarves had successfully driven back the skaven, the halls were inspected. Since skaven were well known for sneaking about and stealing, the dwarves wanted to ensure that any that attempted to steal from the dwarves, while they were distracted with war, were killed.
