A poem I wrote as I gave some thought to some current issues in my life.
Make believe people
in make believe worlds
grasping and chasing
real life dreams

but the endless grind
of false emotion
boredom and lies
always reveal the real face
of our own
crumbling facade

Illusions lose their luster
when fabrication fades
and as always
We pretend to be
make beleive victims
in make believe ways
never pausing
nor thinking
to blame our own
crumbling facades
