Today I sit in a chair, and realize it has been almost a year since I have been here. My eyes burn but my mind is not shut off. Tired is my body, but my mind exceeds capacity of thought. But I say to you, Hello universe. It's been a while.

We are a resilient species. We are weakening, but we dare stay strong. The world may say we are dying yet we stand. Together we stand and we shall not fall, divided we shall certainly perish. The country in which I live is certainly divided. There needs to be an outspread of unity, and peace. We need to fall on our knees and pray for it; but God will not come to our prayers if we do not pray.

((I do not judge against those who do not believe the same way that I do, this blog is not for that at all. I only, and I stress "only", pray for those that do not believe the way that I do. In the same way, that I pray for them, I hope they realize that I am not perfect, and am so very far from it. *Sad* ))--Regardless of anyone's beliefs I still say the following:

We can still come together and not hate one another. We can still love one another, and most of all help one another. The best way to do that, is to look at yourself in their shoes. If you see someone hurting, help them, aid them. If you see someone in need and you have the means to help them, then lend it without expecting it in return. You will only ask them to pay it forward. I believe the little movie 'Pay It Forward' teaches us a grand lesson. If every one of us paid it forward to another human being we will survive. ((Regardless of your belief, it will not hurt for me to say this: I believe that God will reward you for helping others without expecting anything in return.))

Teach our children to do the same. Teach our children to accept others, instead of bulling them. Teach them that bullying is wrong. Teach them that love, (despite whatever your belief is) is the way, not meanness. Our world, (not just our nation) our world, depends on love. If we are to become the world we once knew, love, is the only way to survive the madness that we have been given.

I am adding this, take it how you want but here it is. The Bible is teaching us *Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6*)--- I add this because I believe it! I believe it, and have found it to be true, many many times. *Smile*

I am not perfect, I will say this over and over again. I do not want people to think I am saying that. But I feel, with all my heart that our world, especially the nation in which I live, is in way too much strife for us to stay united. We need to truly find a way to find love and kindness to be united again.

--These are just my thoughts for today. See you next time, thanks for reading. ~Velicity~

Year One -- For us All

A book title *Year One* and Year One for us all as our "new life" might actually become "new life" with "social distancing"

The world was struck with a darkness in December 2019. I honestly can say that I am not sure we will ever fully recover. So without further ado, how are you all my quarantined friends/ family?

Really, I need to take a moment to apologize for lack of updates on my blog, for anyone who would have read it in the past. Truly, I had a million ton, of personal things going on way before the pandemic that kept me from getting on. But Apology out of the way; I am back, and with a whole different perspective on life; as many may have by now, and am ready to begin once again on my writing journey.

That being stated, let me get to what brought me to my blog post today.

Nora Roberts

Year One

Published in 2017

Spoiler Alert

This book, is about a sickness that causes a widespread pandemic. During this pandemic Magic thus arises.

Now, that is obviously the very short of it. However, I just wanted to point out the very IRONY of the topic at hand here. How is it that Mrs Nora wrote about such a pandemic, in her amazing unique way, in only 2 to 3 years prior to the outbreak of the current pandemic? Is the current pandemic actually causing a rise in sales with this particular title among her readers despite the fall of economy?

Let me make it clear, I am not trying to say anything negative against Mrs Nora, she is a great Author, and I love her books. I am simply stating that I find it awesomely ironic how the current outbreak happened not too long after her book hit the shelves.

Life is full of Irony! *Laugh* I found this as a small but worthy topic for conversation. I am hoping to inspire conversation only. I do not need or want any hate comments.

NOTE:
Also, I did purchase this book in 2017, and due life hitting me in the face, I was unable to complete it, picked it back up as interest to read again. I do find this book SUPER interesting and compelling to read despite the current situation at hand. *Wink*

But lets talk, we are all pretty much quarantined anyway; why not just converse as we always do, but more so? *Smile*

Please comment away! Keep it friendly!

Hello friends,

It has been many moons since I have last spoken to you all. I have personally been going through a lot as of late. I have high hopes for the future though. I will be easing into the new year accomplishing my goals one at a time. I hope to publish one chapter or more every so often, if you like supernatural/fantasy/ keep an eye out. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers this past few months. Please continue to do so, but pray this year is much better.

I shall keep you all in my thoughts and prayers as well for the year to come.

~Love Velicity~

An Unforeseen Demise Brings Unforeseen Depression

Dear friends,

I have not been online in a while. At first it was due to life's unpredictable struggles. I thought surely that I would be back online and writing soon. Then a tragedy bestowed my work family, when a co-worker had a wreck and died.

I thought, that I was taking it well. I thought I was strong. However, I realize now that it is affecting me more then I could imagine. I do not see myself writing for some time. I just cannot seem to get my thoughts straight.

Prayers for the family is greatly accepted. Prayers for all of our co-workers are deeply appreciated.

Thank you all for being so supportive. Thank you all for just being friends. Love everyone

Contest Writing

I felt the need to make a little post on contest writing.

We all do it. We all get excited about a contest, write a story and then post for the contest. There is a time limit for contest but most contest say that you can edit the item within the posting stage; as long as you do NOT edit the item within the judging rounds.

I have done a lot of reviews as of late. Most of them have been old contest entries. Most contest entries have several errors myself included.

I challenge ALL of us to thoroughly read through your contest entries. (including myself). You are all great writers, but for contest there should be just as little mistakes as there is with your own non contest writing. Get a friend to read it before posting. Do what you can to make sure those tiny little grammatical errors do not slip through the cracks.

I do not know why it is so hard to thoroughly check over our work for contest but we can do better. *BigSmile* *Heart*

Overthinking-Over-explaining-Over-doing-EXHAUSTION.

Anyone else do this whether in verbal communication or other? If so what do you do about it? How do you feel when it happens.

I am 31 years old; and I am just now realizing the repercussions of these things that I have done my whole life.

I finally hit a breakthrough! I am so excited to say that my book writing is flowing like a river of thoughts pouring from my mind to script. I only hope that it continues. My hands are throbbing hard. *ExclaimG* But back to the typing I go. Wish me luck!
