Why does time fly by? Why can't time last forever? Does anyone really know?
I don't know how to feel

None of this even seems real

And it isn't even ideal

Just look at the automobiles.

What has happened to my life

Someone please hide the knifes

I think I'm ready for the afterlife

And I'm not even a wife.

My life is going away too fast

I used to have a blast

But now the blast is the past

I thought life was supposed to last.

Sometimes I just feel so blue

When I get a view

Of the life I once knew

Oh if they only knew.

While I am facing reality

The other kids are happy with glee

Running away from waves by the sea

I had once been carefree.

I watch them playing in the summer

The stupid one is my brother

They run around looking at the colors

Until it is time for supper.

I watch them playing in the snow

Walking in it makes them slow

Collecting the snow to make ammo

Until they go in for some hot cocoa.

Just like that the time flies by

No more chasing butterflies

Before you know it in the blink of an eye

It will be time to say goodbye.

Why does the time fly by?
