Here is my poem of the events of 9/11.
Where were you?
When the twin towers fell
The country was quiet
in those hours.
The feelings we felt
Pain, Sadness, Loss

Then there came a feeling
a feeling so strong
It united us all
The feeling of Justice
American pride came forth came from the fall.

For the first time,
We were not Black, White, and Hispanic
We were Americans
Rising up from grief
To show those who wish to bring us down
That we won't back down
We are Americans
We are free
