what loss feels like.
The hunter came out of nowhere and he assumed the firing position. He carefully took aim with his elephant gun. I was rooted to the spot, in fear and i could not move.

Boom!!! went the gun; Smoke billowed as the ricochet toppled him over.

A moment later, I felt a sharp pain in my heart. The pain became more and more intense. When I looked down, I could see a huge hole; torn right through the middle of my still, beating, heart. The edges were raw; and the wind left a searing pain, as it blew through the ragged hole.

The world went gray. My hair turned grey. My back curved like an old man with the cares of the world on his back. My skin became wrinkled and dark. I became a walking, talking zombie.

As I stumbled towards the grass; my final resting place, the phone rang;

"Hello?"

"Are you awake?"

"Yes."

"Good"

"I have bad news for you."

"Yes."

"Your father died last evening."
