A short story I wrote at 3am.
When the spaceman closes his eyes and dreams. What does he see? Maybe the spaceman dreams of the stars he sees everyday? Does he dance on the many planets he’s seen or drift through nebulas? Would his nightmares be of black holes or ferocious aliens? If the spaceman could dream would it be in a galaxy far far away or would his dreams be about a particular place? I would like to believe that when the spaceman dreams it’s not about quasars or wormholes, but something much closer to his heart. When a spaceman dreams he dreams of home. He dreams about the fresh air. I’m sure he would dream about all the great food, but most importantly he would dream about people. The people he left behind. The spaceman dreams about his friends and family. He dreams about all the good times they had. As lonely as space can be the space man will always have home to dream of.
