Sometimes not saying anything is the best option.
I can feel a tension we’ve never had before,
Telling you how I feel was one of my bad actions,
Seeing you ignore me pains me to the core,
And my heart keeps on breaking into fractions;

Nowadays seeing you makes me sick,
I suppose you feel the same way about me,
Knowing I ruined it hurts like a kick,
Should’ve seen it coming - still will let you be;

I’m sorry I didn’t mean to ruin what we had,
I’m sorry I trusted your “it’s okay”,
I’m sorry if by telling you I made you feel bad,
I’m sorry for believing you’d stay;

And yet my heart still flutters when I see you,
Seeing your smile or hearing your laugh lightens my day,
I’d be lying if I said I don’t want you to like me too,
But I know it’s over - by telling you the truth I drove you away.
