A couple weeks in a pen's life.
Once upon a time there was a pen,
Her hands warmed it and promised great things.
But….
“I give up!” she cried.
And threw down the pen while paper crumbled,
Was tossed in the bin.
Everyday it her watched her pain.
She held her head,
Ranted and raved.
Her mind raced in circles
The words on disappearing wings
“I cant make this one come.”
The girl cried.
Then,
One day without warning,
Her head stopped spinning,
The feathers shed and the words floated back.
The pen rejoiced and words poured forth,
Filling stanzas and dashing down periods
And because of that,
A poetic rainbow soared across pages.
And because of that!
She smiled.
The pen dancing through fields of words,
Flying through a sky of creation .
A never ending brilliance.
Until finally the words ended,
And the poem was complete.
