A playful verse on underwater attachment.
I‘m not your friend
I’m your anemone
Spaghetti-like tendrils
Poke out at the front of me
Where lies decorum?
Where rests decency?
I’m your absent bedfellow
Sworn to deep secrecy.

I‘m not your friend
I’m your anemone
Watch as I temper my
Sub-aqua jealousy
When you sidle away
Leaving a trail of perplexity
To your snakelock strumpet
Decked out in high regency.

I’m not your friend
I’m your anemone
No blame now incurred
For acting licentiously
Just can’t help myself
From needing you desperately.
Join me right now
In this deep sea of ecstacy.
