A one sided conversation.
“Will you love me the way you did”?
Silence.
“Will we sing and dance to the songs we knew the words to and do the movie weekends”?
Silence.
“Will we go back to telling each other how we feel and laugh hysterically at how silly these words sound”?
Silence.
“Will we continue on our spiritual journey”?
Silence.
“Will you be honest and truthful about things like before”?
Silence.
“Will you promise to be FAITHFUL”?
Silence.
“You look the same, are you the same person”?
Silence.
“What have I done to you that I deserve BETRAYAL”?
Silence
“Are we no more”?
Silence.
“No”?
Silence.
“Is there anything you want to let me know”?
“Please”?
Silence.
“You never thought I would have found out”?
Silence, dead Silence. No emotion from him.
“I thought so”!!
Silence, dead Silence.
“Then there is nothing else to say”!
Silence.
”Please listen, I am.....”he says.
“NO”, I said loudly.
“I will finish packing what is mine, then I shall be no more”!
He stands there, Silence dead Silence.
As I walk out I look back, his stands with his head held high.
Now I really know how he feels.
