A Cornish Sonnet
DAYDREAMS

Sitting here tonight wide awake it seems,
Many times sleep is so often broken.
I don’t have to sleep, I still have my dreams,
Born by all of the thoughts that come my way,
With all the words that are left unspoken,
The ones that I hope might come true some day.

Some say that all the dreams are washed away.
Only air castles for ones vanity
But I believe that mine are here to stay,
Cause I remember one that did come true.
It was one that did become reality
And it was something that I wished to do.

Last night death into sleepless dreams did creep
And I did not awake from dreamless sleep.
