I'm walking down
the old lonely trail
of my mind, alone.

I think I am dreaming
but if I am, why do
I smell dirty sunshine?

I am barefoot and feel
the pain from a random
rock in the path as it hits
the arch of my foot.

I look down and see my
feet are bloody and dusty
and I wonder how long
I have been walking on this
path to...where?
