" DISPOSABLE INSIGHTS "

from censorship's lethal depletion
waiting in reverent expectation
prompting processes
resisting sublime captivity
muffled reluctant echos
the timbre of ideas
raw unrefined tainted infected
phantoms of phenomena
until tempered in the fiercest fire
it's unnecessary work
and shameful
spending time like this
groveling in sunlight
pursuing a noble waste of time
a stolen trophy
describing intimate secrets of empty spaces
coerced to imbue with a newness
formerly painful and in full flight from syntax
fending off the paralysis of disappointments
imagining imaginary  gifts bestowed
can I grow to hear the whispers
appreciate the meager creation
of disposable insights
a full awareness of
of unborn expression
a pointing in no direction
now it's not there
here it is
I'll want more and different no more
wanting makes for pathetic poetry
insatiable desire for the impossible
shown to be a virgin mistress
a hated lover
why do I bother
there is nothing else I can do
I hated my mother but I needed her
