The poem that I wrote for you guys.
Premise of Yung Adjective

Thick veneer - hiding from something
Had I understood some experiences are better left untouched;
Newer things lurked beneath the plateau

Eyes dilated from this murky shadow
Sun dips and the darkness swells,
Nibbling at the person once was

The morbid flames gnaw at the frenzy.

Adjust my sight, hourglass broken
Time is frozen, only one thing moves

Creatures of my perception,
Fuelled by its fire,
Breathing in the smoke; Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

Contrived light exacerbating the crisis

The flames would have died, hadn't I been so dire
Offerings can be made on this journey;
It's our option to walk the fire

When all is lost, what is this I see?
A little glimmer of a fiery orb that meets,
The chalk-outlined embers behind my feet.
In this outline lies a mould of a buried adventurer,
On it is placed a hideous little creature.

Spark of courage, I thought routine never ceases
An appreciation gained for that little Phoenix.
How can I be happy till I understand the ashes?
Am I falling for the cycle?

Trained to think and never questioning the reasons
Succumb to the pressure and fall for the trap,
Made my mind up, the path became a little clearer

However, the fiery orb that transcended the sky
Spoke its words before the day went by,
Heeding the call, the words burned my thoughts
Trained to think, yet I had questioned the cause
What would have happened if my path never showed?

One thing is certain, that routine never ceases,
Transcended something, though things are the same,
The same principles apply, just the lesson has changed
Now, the sun will dip again, but
Before the sun strays too far, Nightingale sings
Routine halts, the Phoenix understand it needs to spread its wings.
