It's about my experience with mental illness and how it's changed me from Then to Now
He wakes up with hollow eyes, He used to explore the world with eager eyes.
He sees the wrongs of the world, He used to want to conquer the world.
He has smoke in his eyes daily, He used to see the smoke of the campfire with Dad.
He smiles when he drinks, He used to smile when he saw family.
He gets nervous a lot, He used to get nervous on the first day of school.
He wants to be happy, He used to want to sleep in the bed with Dad and Momma.
He covers his arms when he talks to people, He used to cover himself in leaves.
He sleeps everyday, He used to sleep every night.
He smokes with his brother, he used to throw the football with him.
He cries at night sometimes, He used to cry for his Momma.
He wakes up with hollow eyes, He used to care.
