Stuck

“There’s something stuck on the window,” Ted said, looking out.

“What do you mean? Leaves or something?” Jane asked.

“No... it seems to be some gray thing, it looks shiny, kind of solid.”

“That’s weird,” she came over to look. There outside the upstairs window was a small gray oblong thing stuck to the outside of the bedroom window. It seemed to be caught in the crevice of the storm window and the window frame.

“That’s odd, it looks like a spaceship.”

“Funny.”

“No really, look you can see light spots on the front, like windows and little high places here and there. It really looks like a tiny spaceship stuck there.”

“Right, now I know what it is.”

“What?”

“Something you put there to trick me into thinking it was a little spaceship”

“What? I did not! How could I even get something up there?”

“I don’t know. All I know is, I know you did it. And, that I’m not falling for it this time!”

“You must think I have magical powers if you think I could pull that off!”

“Oh, he who doth protest too much...”

“Honestly! You must think I have super powers if you think I could get something up there!” they walked downstairs, still bickering back and forth about it.

Outside the window, the crew of the Trepadore was scrambling to hold the ship in this sheltered place as they repaired the Veldatron tranducer. With any luck they hoped to be airborne in minutes, and away from this possibly hostile planet of giants.
