A story on what the modern world has done to nature.
The towering grass was lime green, the sky, a majestic colour of blue. As the trees stood tall, you could hear the wind whistle as it slid past the leafy branches. The birds soared high with one another, fox kit’s ran around with each other down below.

The lake was clear to the bottom, the school’s of fish swam happily with there friends. The sky was clear, with only the sun granting the woodland creatures light. Clouds-as fluffy as cotton candy- would sit in the sky, but only the spirits of the forest could sit atop them. Leaves danced around in the cool wave-like breeze.

Everything is perfect… Until…

A new species is born, man. Man is a complicated species to understand. First they explored, as they explored they learned.

They learned how to understand one another. Man scared the woodland creatures by destroying there beautiful home. They cut down trees, they pulled out grass. And even killed some of the worlds most majestic creatures for themselves.

As they evolved, Man created some of the worlds first inventions. Such as FIRE and THE WHEEL.

Man soon started to build, claiming the forest as his own.

He built tall buildings and squat buildings, the population began to grow. As the newly built towns filled up with smog and the lakes dumped with garage, the forest slowly began to wither away.

With the lake polluted, the woodland creatures had no were to drink. Man built towns on top of berry bushes, and stole the rest for there own. The woodland creatures had no food.

The forest dried up and all of the animals slowly died of starvation, but still the towns grow. Man could have shared, but instead they took everything away from the first creatures that were here. Man is equal with animals, we are mammals. We are no different from the deer, or the lions or the giraffes. We are a species of animals just like everything else.

But we took over…

The grass is a stale shade of copper, the sky now grey. The only sound you hear carried throughout the wind is the cries of the homeless, and cheers to the greedy, who refuse to share.

The trees are dead, with only broken leaves sitting beneath them on the dirty ground. The birds now only sing the songs of war, and screech the victims cries of murder. Below only rats run the streets, everyone else is inside with there face dug into there mindless technology. You cant see even a foot deep into any lake you may encounter, they force you to swim in a bath of chemicals instead.

You can no longer see the glorious sun, man built the sky scrapers to high. The clouds lifelessly float around the sky, this is what the beautiful forest became.

This city is now what sits on top of the wonderful forest of green, man stole away every creatures home, in selfish hope that humans will come out on top.
