Heirs of darkness... A Poetic Traditions Entry (Form: Rispetto)
Silent Vigil

In silhouette, two empty chairs
forlornly watch the setting sun
as silence spreads. They are the heirs
of darkness that can’t be undone.

My silent vigil, for a breath,
recalls the visage of love's death.
I eagerly embrace the pain.
I exhale and love's gone… again.
