MY LOVE

Soft, cloudless, bluest skies above
Such dreams that hold sweet thoughts of love
So still within my beating heart
I dare not hope one day to speak
To kiss with joy your dimpled cheek
Before alas it’s time to part
No more to seek within your soul
The love I crave I can’t control
Nor tears that come as you depart
